HCRE Services
Professional Development
Because HCRE is a strengths-based approach, our work often leads to the enhancement of professional development for our clients. We tailor our approach to their needs and work within the context that is most supportive to their overall work.
Leadership
Many of HCRE’s core concepts lead to a shift in organizational culture that necessitates new and different approaches to leadership. As such, we often work with mid-level managers and senior leaders to provide them with the support they need to make necessary organizational culture shifts.
Coaching
HCRE develops strong relationships with clients, focusing on relationship and engagement as the keys to achieving progress on agreed upon goals and objectives. We have coached senior leaders, mid-level managers, supervisors and front-line staff on such topics as networking; communications; leadership development; difficult conversations; and strengths-based values.
Consultation
We welcome the opportunity to work with potential clients to co-create and craft the implementation of HCRE practices and principles into their organizational context. On many occasions, we start by providing general overviews of our approach and then work on a consultation basis to support implementation that meets with organizational goals and objectives.
Nonprofit Managment & Board Development
HCRE staff have decades of experience coaching and consulting with nonprofits and public agencies, supporting them with professional and board development; strategy and policy guidance; and organizational development and culture work. Moreover, HCRE supports and strategically co-creates approaches to public and private funding streams.
Education
Because our co-founders have spent decades in higher education, we are deeply familiar with these systems and have experience supporting cultural changes within them. For instance, we have supported administrative units to incorporate human resources practices and policy changes that are healing centered and restorative. We have also worked within student affairs to support counseling units, particularly as they work with marginalized communities. We have also presented numerous times at academic conferences on the HCRE approach.
Strategic Planning
We often find that organizations are deeply interested in moving from transactional and hierarchical approaches to ones that are collaborative and strengths-based. With decades of nonprofit experience, we tailor our approaches to support their strategic objectives in ways that shift organizational culture over time.
Training
We offer two main types of training: 1) trauma -informed and resilience-building; and 2) healing-centered and restorative practices. The first helps us recognize and respond to trauma and the second helps us to proactively build collaborative systems and processes that are accountable when harm occurs.
Training & Continuing Education - We offer training and continuing education on creating systems and practices for healing from trauma, toxic stress, and harm for the individual, the organization, and the community. HCRE consultants also have expertise in leadership development, nonprofit management, strategic fundraising, workforce development, and customer service excellence.
Capacity Building
We help organizations grow their capacity to respond to harm and build healing and restorative cultures that incorporate alternative administrative practices and approaches. This work can be engaged at the front-line staff level; intraorganizationally; as well as interorganizationally.
